History
Established in 1912 as Fisher-Braden Furniture and Undertakers in downtown Albany, Oregon founders Able & Mary Fisher, E.C. & Hazel Fisher, and Sam & Ethel Fisher Braden formed a company to satisfy a need in the Albany community.
Through five generations, including Walter & Martha Kropp, John & Alice Fisher Summers, Dan & Alice Kropp Ordeman, Tom & Denice Ordeman, and Wally & Rene Ordeman, this longtime Albany family continues to serve the needs of the mid-valley community with caring, compassionate service at a time when families need to rely on someone they trust. Much has changed over the years (cordwood & eggs as payment was common during the depression) but our dedication to providing a comfortable atmosphere and compassionate service to those in need has not changed. Traditional, memorial, and graveside services, prearrangement, and much more, are handled "in house," by a staff of professionals who care deeply about our community. Fisher Funeral Home has been a name the Mid-Valley has trusted for over 94 years. |
