Grace Boggan, 81, of Albany, passed away Wednesday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. She was born in Lumberton, MS, the daughter of Herbert and Ruby (Sipes) Lee. Grace grew up in Tucson, AZ where she attended school. She moved to Oregon in 1956 and made the Willamette Valley her home in 1962.

Grace married Raymond Dodson. He died July 20, 1953. She later met Dean Boggan. They were married December 23, 1954 in Clarkston, WA. Together, Grace and Dean lived in Halsey. Grace spent many years working at Central Linn High School where she was a teacher's assistant and taught photography and journalism with Dean. Grace was known for her warmth and contagious laugh. She also helped raise her younger brother, Chip. Grace was active in the YMCA, American Legion and was a lifetime member of The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Dean on September 11, 1997; parents, Herbert and Ruby Lee; and a sister, Mary Ellen Jones. Survivors include a son, David Boggan of Turner; daughter, Barbara Henry, Albany; grandchildren, Tim Nielsen, Salem and Stacy Anderson, Montrose, CO; brothers, Reverend Charles Lee, Glendale, AZ and Chip Waisanen, Vancouver, WA; and a sister, Opal Ellen Kulish, Glendale, AZ.
