Janet Lee Martin, 82, of Albany, passed away Thursday at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.

Janet was born in Salix, Iowa to Edgar and Leora (McKenna) Bouvia. They moved to Coquille in 1940 and then Albany where Janet attended Central school. She married Donald Crocker on September 21, 1950, then later divorced. On May 9, 1958 she married her soul mate, Emil Curtis Martin in Stevenson, Washington.

Janet was a waitress for many years, but retired from the Herford Steer after 23 years. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, keno, and spending time at the casino. Most of all, Janet loved her family. She never missed a grandkid’s sporting event or birthday card.

Janet is survived by her children, Elaine Farvour and husband Robert of Kelso, Washington, Cheri Crocker and companion, Mark Ramsdell of Albany, Peggy Grice and husband Jim of Albany, Traci Fry and husband Robert of Scio, and Amanda Wyninegar of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; son, Dennis; and brothers, Jack and Richard Bouvia.

A celebration of life will be at the Albany Eagles Lodge at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 16, 2017.
